WE SAY NO TO ANY FORM OF VIOLENT CELEBRATIONS:

With the declaration and returned of General Muhammadu Buhari as President of Nigeria in waiting, celebration erupted spontaneously all the country. The manner and form celebrations is now subject of serious concern to us.

Of course there's nothing wrong with celebrating victory but it must no be with violence especially where victory is ours. We have no reason what so ever to attack anybody because even if he did not support us,God has vindicated our collective commitments to promote peace and unity. General Muhammadu Buhari is a father figure and a peaceful leader who offered himself to serve his people. Violence has never been and will never be part of him, so anybody attacking innocent Nigerians is executing an agenda of those who are against our success.

Reports available to me confirmed pockets of some excesses exhibited by some hoodlums marauding to be celebrating victory of General Buhari. We doubt the sincerity of all those behind it and we believed that it's intended to blackmail the prospects of our party in the next gubernatorial polls. Antagonists of General Muhammadu Buhari campaigned with calumny against him but we all witnessed how calm and peaceful he reacted to it.

Therefore how can we justify those attacking people including smashing windscreens of unsuspecting Nigerians in the name of celebration? Shall we honour a man of peace with violence? Certainly, no. May I state categorically here that all perpetrators of violence are either paid agents of blackmail and if genuinely they are for us then certainly they are bad representatives.

We reject entirely violence and condemned in strong terms advocates of violent celebrations. There is no relationship between violence and victory except may be those who lost are taking cover to embarrass us and we cannot fall prey to these evil plans. We stand in solidarity with all Nigerians for voting change while appreciating their commitments to hope for a great nation.

We sympathize with victims of these callous acts and appeal to all Nigerians to remain calm and conduct all forms of celebrations peaceful. Also we are appealing to all community, religious, traditional, political and opinions leaders to kindly assist in restoring calm in all areas where there are instances of violence enveloping. I call on all lovers of this great leader, General Buhari to defend his name and Intergrity by ensuring that peace, love and unity prevails in this country.
Thank you for your normal understanding and support. God bless the peoples leader.
